Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF)   Qualification Details For   new   learner’s    or   expired   certificate   learners    the   course   is   18   hours   for   additional   duration   we offer the AED certificate for free. Valid for 3 Years from Issue. Renewing   learners    is   12   hours   for   additional   duration   we   offer   the   AED   certificate   for   free.   Valid   for   3 teas from issue. Both courses are face to face, prior achievement can be considered. This   Regulated   Qualification   is   ideal   for   anyone   wishing   to   become   a   first   aider.   It   covers   a   wider   range of   subjects   than   that   covered   by   the   Emergency   First Aid   at   Work   qualification.   It   provides   learners   with the   skills   and   knowledge   to   deal   with   first   aid   situations   in   higher   risk   workplaces   or   workplaces   with   an increased number of employees. Produced in aid of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 Qualification Objective To   allow   an   individual   to   demonstrate   the   knowledge,   understanding   and   skills   required   of   the   appointed first aider in the workplace. This qualification consists of two mandatory unit Unit 1: Emergency First Aid in the Workplace Unit 2: Recognition and Management of Illness and Injury in the Workplace Emergency First Aid in the Workplace – Summary of Learning Outcomes This unit has 7 Learning outcomes:  1 . Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider 2 . Be able to assess an incident 3 . Be able to provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty 4 . Be able to provide first aid to a casualty who is choking 5 . Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with external bleeding 6 . Know how to provide first aid to a casualty who is in shock  7 . Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with minor injuries Recognition   and   Management   of   Illness   and   Injury   in   the   Workplace   –   Summary   of   Learning Outcomes  - This unit has 9 Learning outcomes: 1 . Be able to conduct a secondary survey 2 . Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with suspected injuries to bones, muscles and joints 3 . Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with suspected head and spinal injuries 4 . Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with suspected chest injuries 5 . Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with burns and scalds 6 . Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with an eye injury  7 . Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with sudden poisoning 8 . Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with Anaphylaxis 9 . Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with suspected major illness Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work (QCF) Course is 6 hours for additional duration we offer the AED certificate for free. This   Regulated   Qualification   is   ideal   for   anyone   wishing   to   become   an   emergency   first   aider.   This provides   learners   with   skills   and   knowledge   to   deal   with   first   aid   situations   in   low   risk   workplace environments for the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 Qualification Objective To   allow   an   individual   to   demonstrate   the   knowledge,   understanding   and   skills   required   to   deal   with   a range of emergencies requiring first aid in the workplace. Emergency   First   Aid   in   the   Workplace    –   Summary   of   Learning   Outcomes   -   This   unit   has   7   Learning outcomes: 1 . Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider 2 . Be able to assess an incident 3 . Be able to provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty 4 . Be able to provide first aid to a casualty who is choking 5 . Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with external bleeding 6 . Know how to provide first aid to a casualty who is in shock  7 . Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with minor injuries Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and the Safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator Up   to   4   Hours   training.   This   qualification   is   recommended   as   training   for   first   aiders   in   the   workplace environment who have access to a defibrillator Qualification Objective To   allow   an   individual   to   demonstrate   the   knowledge,   understanding   and   skills   required   in   order   to   use an AED competently and with confidence. Basic    Life    Support    and    Using    an    Automated    External    Defibrillator     –    Summary    of    Learning Outcomes - This unit has 4 Learning outcomes: 1 . Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally 2 . Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally 3 . Know how to safely use an automated external defibrillator 4 . Be able to safely use an automated external defibrillator Level 3 Award in Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis (RQF) Qualification Details Level   3   Award   in   Basic   Life   Support   and   Management   of   Anaphylaxis   (RQF)   is   Accredited   by   CCEA Regulation. This   qualification   is   part   of   the   RQF   (previously   the   QCF)   and   has   the   value   of   1   credit. The Guided Learning hours are 5. Qualification Objective To   enable   a   qualified   First Aider,   to   recognise   and   treat   anaphylaxis,   safely   and   effectively. This   includes being trained as competent to deliver medication for Anaphylaxis conditions.  This qualification is made up of one mandatory unit Unit 1: Basic Life Support and the Management of Anaphylaxis Basic Life Support and the Management of Anaphylaxis  – Summary of Learning Outcomes This unit has 4 Learning outcomes: 1 . Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (QCF) Qualification Objective 6   Hours   course.   This   regulated   first   aid   qualification   is   specific   to   infants   aged   under   1,   and   children aged from 1 year old to the onset of puberty. If is ideal for parents and babysitters.  This   qualification   is   the   first   day   and   unit   of   the   Level   3 Award   in   Emergency   Paediatric   First Aid   (QCF). This    latter    qualification    meets    the    requirements    of    the    statutory    framework    for    the    Early    Years Foundation   Stage   (EYFS)   as   issued   by   the   department   for   Education   and   Skills   Foundation   Stage relating to Early Years childcare. The   Level   3 Award   in   Emergency   Paediatric   First Aid   (RQF)   is   those   who   are   working   with   children   and infants.   It   will   be   of   particular   interest   to   teachers,   child   minders,   crèche   assistants,   playgroup   personnel and   anyone   else   who   has   a   responsibility   for   their   welfare   whilst   in   your   care.   This   qualification   is   a fantastic    introduction    into    emergency    paediatric    first    aid.        You    will    be    gaining    knowledge    and competence to administer emergency paediatric first.   Unit   1:   Emergency   Paediatric   First   Aid    –   Summary   of   Learning   Outcomes   -   This   unit   has   8   Learning outcomes: 1 . Be able to provide first aid to an infant and a child with external bleeding  7. Be able to provide first aid to an infant and a child who is suffering from shock 8. Understand how to administer first aid to an infant and a child with bites, stings and minor injuries   Managing Paediatric Illness, Injuries and Emergencies – Summary of Learning Outcomes - This unit has 9 Learning outcomes:   1. Be able to administer first aid to an infant and a child with a suspected fracture 2. Be able to administer first aid to an infant and a child with head, neck or back injury 3. Understand how to administer first aid to an infant and a child with conditions affecting the eyes, ears and nose 4. Understand how to administer emergency first aid to an infant and a child with an acute medical condition or sudden illness 5. Understand how to administer first aid to an infant and a child who is experiencing the effects of extreme heat and cold 6. Understand how to administer first aid to an infant and a child who has sustained an electric shock  7. Understand how to administer first aid to an infant and a child with burns or scalds 8. Understand how to administer first aid to an infant and a child who has been poisoned 9. Understand how to provide first aid to an infant or child with anaphylaxis
