Mandatory Training For Care Staff Annual Update - Mandatory Training for Care Staff  (6 Hours) 1 Days training by Care Industry Training Specialist covering all Skills set out by Skills For Care. 3 Yearly Update - Mandatory Training for Care Staff  (10 Hours) 1   Days   training   by   Care   Industry Training   Specialist   and   some   self   study   open   learning   covering   all Skills set out by Skills For Care. The Care Certificate Covers   Skills   for   Care   subjects   required   for   The   Care   Certificate.   The   certificate   can   be   taught   by an in-house member of staff or one of our Care Industry Trainers. Care Industry Train The Trainer Qualification Be   able   to   teach   all   qualification   for   Care   Industry   (mandatory   Care Training,   Care   Certificate,   Care Courses).   This   qualification   is   available   through   FAST   Track   if   you   hold   a   recognised   teaching qualification   or   in   one   or   three   day   formats   that   incorporate   the   Level   3   Education   &   Training Qualification. 2 to 3 Hours Care Training Certificates Delivered by an approved Care Industry Trainer, some theory course can be done by self-study learning. Courses are tailor made for your business taking into account Skills for Care mandatory Care Training requirements. Courses Include (others available on request): Basic Life Support & First Aid for Care Homes Health & Safety for Care Homes Manual Handling of Loads & People for Care Homes Food Safety for Care Homes Fire Marshal for Care Homes Medicines for Care Homes Breakaway Techniques for Care Homes The Principles of Care Medical Conditions Associate with Care Homes Safeguarding for Care Homes Fluids & Nutritions for Care Homes Record Keeping for Care Homes   Level 2 Award in Safer Moving and Handling of People (RQF)      Qualification Objective   To provide a good induction, or refresher for all staff in the care sector on safer moving and handling of people.  6 Hours training. This qualification is made up of one mandatory unit   Unit 1: Safer Moving and Handling of People Principles and Practice   Safer Moving and Handling of People Principles and Practice –Learning Outcomes, This unit has 2 Learning outcomes: 1. Understand the reasons for safe moving and handling of people 2. Be able to move and position individuals safely, maintaining their dignity Level 2 Award in Principles of Infection Prevention and Control (RQF)   Qualification Objective This qualification provides a basic awareness of key safety issues of the prevention and control of infection. Appropriate for all employees in the public and private sector whose work brings them into contact with others in any care settings.  4 Hours Training.   Principles of Infection Prevention and Control – Summary of Learning Outcomes, This unit has 7 Learning outcomes: 1. Understand the importance of infection prevention and control 2. Understand roles and responsibilities in infection prevention and control 3. Know organizational policies and procedures for infection prevention and control 4. Know how to minimize risk of infection in a health care setting 5. Know how to use personal protective equipment 6. Understand the importance of personal hygiene 7. Be able to follow the procedures for hand washing Level 2 Award in Dementia Awareness (RQF)   Qualification Objective To provide those working with people with dementia the knowledge of what dementia is, types of dementia and how others can impact on the individual with dementia. 4 to 6 Hours Training  This qualification is made up of one mandatory unit Unit 1: Dementia Awareness Dementia Awareness – Summary of Learning Outcomes, This unit has 4 Learning outcomes: 1. Understand what dementia is 2. Know the most common types of dementia and their causes 3. Understand person centred care and support for individuals with dementia and how this is implemented 4. Understand interactive, meaningful communication with individuals with dementia and how this can be achieved Level 2 Understanding the Safe Handling and Administration of Medication (RQF) Qualification Details  4 to 6-hour training. This is a great award to provide learners with an introduction, into the safe handling and administration of medication.  The award has one unit with four learning outcomes as follows: 1. Understand the legislative frameworks and agreed ways of working for the safe handling and administration of medication 2. Understand the different types of medication 3. Understand the roles and responsibilities in the use of medication 4. Understand how to receive, store and dispose of medications safely in line with agreed ways of working

This is a great award to provide those working with vulnerable adults the knowledge on how to recognize and respond to cases of alleged or suspected abuse.  The award is sometimes referred to as SOVA or POVA and has one unit with two learning outcomes a follows: 1. Understand safeguarding and protection responsibilities in line with current guidelines and legislation 2. Know different forms of abuse Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young People (RQF)   Qualification Objective  6 Hours Training To provide an excellent introduction, for those working with children and young people, to the knowledge on how to recognise and respond to cases of alleged or suspected abuse. This qualification is made up of one mandatory unit Unit 1: Introduction to Safeguarding and Protecting Children or Young People Introduction to Safeguarding and Protecting Children or Young People – Summary of Learning Outcomes, this unit has 2 Learning outcomes:   1. Understand how to safeguard and protect children, young people and practitioners in the workplace 2. Know how to respond to evidence or concerns that a child or young person has been abused
